The AST 1 Refresher course is designed for individuals who have already taken the AST 1 course and want to refresh their skills and knowledge before heading back into the winter backcountry. This one-day course helps participants revisit and practice key concepts such as terrain recognition, transceiver use, rescue skills, and snowpack assessment. The focus is on reinforcing decision-making skills, hands-on practice, and gaining confidence in managing avalanche terrain.

Duration: 1 Day (9:00 AM - 4:00 PM)
Location: Mount Washington area or another suitable backcountry location on Vancouver Island.
Skill Level: Intermediate - For those who have previously completed AST 1 or equivalent.
Group Size: Maximum 8 participants per instructor.
Price: $150 per person
Guide-to-Client Ratio: 1:8 for effective and safe practice.

Personal Items: Daypack, water, lunch/snacks, sunglasses or goggles, sunscreen.
