Step into the heart of Vancouver Island’s rugged coastline with a 7-day guided adventure along the world-renowned West Coast Trail. Guided by VIBE’s expert team, you’ll conquer the trail safely and enjoyably while creating unforgettable memories.
Trip Highlights
Where ancient rainforests, remote beaches, and towering cliffs create an unforgettable backdrop, today, hikers walk in the footsteps of those who have relied on this route for survival and connection to the land. The land holds deep cultural significance, having been traveled for generations by the Pacheedaht, Ditidaht, and Huu-ay-aht First Nations. Later, it became part of the Dominion Lifesaving Trail, built to aid shipwrecked sailors along the perilous Pacific coast.
Wildlife is abundant along the way, with black bears, sea otters, and bald eagles calling the coastline home, while migrating whales pass through the waters below. Hidden sea caves, wave-sculpted rock formations, and powerful surge channels showcase the raw beauty of this untamed landscape.
The trail pushes hikers into less familiar conditions, with wooden ladders, shifting tides, and semi-technical terrain, yet these slight challenges continue to excite walkers year after year. Rewarding every effort with breathtaking scenery and a true sense of adventure, the trail is a destination hike for many around the world.
